One of Australia's most unique farming and outdoor expos, Go Country!
will take place at Pakenham Racecourse on Saturday 25th and
Sunday 26th of October, 2008.
Over 200 exhibitors will attend and visitors will be able to see the latest in farm machinery,
products and equipment for farmers and fishing, boating, caravanning, camping. 4x4s and other
equipment for outdoor enthusiasts. Seminars will provide all the advice and information you
need to make a lifestyle change and venture forth into the great outdoors.
Visitors can look forward to shearing and dog trials, there’s a chance to get up close to the animals
in the animal nursery and the rare breeds’ area and for the braver amongst us ‘Snake Busters’ will let
you handle snakes! The women and children will have lots to see and do.
There’ll be cooking, lifestyle and machinery demonstrations and seminars on everything from Successful
Farming Enterprises to Safe Boating and Fishing Techniques. Great music will be provided by the
6 Weekend Warriors bands.
The latest in Mobile Homes, caravans, 4 Wheel Drives, camping, fishing, boating and outdoor equipment will be on display, and
experts will provide enthusiasts with all the advice and information they need.
To top the weekend off, every paying entrant has the opportunity to go into the draw for a new
Aluminium
Boat and Trailer, valued at $5000.00
Go Country! has been developed by the Rotary Clubs of Koo Wee Rup - Lang Lang and Pakenham, with all
proceeds from this event assisting local community projects. Admission to the event is just $10 for adults,
aged pensioners $5 and children under 16 free of charge. Event times are as follows - 10.30am to 5.00pm on
Saturday 25th and 10.00am to 5.00pm on Sunday 26th October, 2008.
Pakenham Racecourse is just 45 minutes by car from the centre of Melbourne and can be reached by the Metropolitan train service.
With a venue close to Melbourne and with a relaxed community atmosphere, Go Country! is a ‘must see’ for those who enjoy
the outdoors or are looking to embrace a country lifestyle.
