For the Woodchopping and other Demonstrations times, see the Seminar page. Sheep Shearing and Dog Trials will be occurring regularly throughout both days.

Other demonstrations of all sorts will also be occurring throughout the event.  Some include Blacksmith, Wool spinning, Wood splitting, Wood Turning, etc.

 

Laurence O'Toole will be demonstrating his axemanship throughout Go Country! He was born with logging in his blood and is a 3rd generation World Champion Axeman. He has participated in logging sports for the past 15 years. Currently, he holds 14 Australian titles and 4 word titles.

The Sunday morning ritual of World of Sport, where they gained extensive fame on the blocks, is now television history. He had to chop a log on Australia's Got Talent. A flirty Dannii Minogue was more impressed with his upper torso than his technique, her eyelashes fluttering as he looked on knowingly.

Although he is virtually unknown here outside woodchopping circles, he is a star in the Basque country of Spain, where woodchopping is a popular sport. He also features on US cable television, where woodchopping competitions are televised, under the moniker The Chisel.
